There are two things that stick out to me when I think about my musical upbringing; 1. The fact that my dad listened to classic rock and 2. The 90’s were some of the best years in country music history! These two facts are a big part of what continues to shape me as a musician today.

After picking up the guitar for the first time in ‘98, I looked to classic rock gods like Page, Hendrix and Clapton who taught me to let loose, get sassy with my solos and to make every note count. Learning 90’s country tunes taught me catchy melodies, good songs that good company can sing along to, and that a “Country Boy Can Survive”.

I played various open mics throughout St. Louis while in high school. Honing in my musical style in front of a crowd during this time, by 2016 I finally had enough material for a decent set on my own. My style has since evolved from inspired rock classics of Clapton, to the Americana and Folk likings of James Taylor and Jack Johnson, with a touch of Stapleton and Cash to satisfy my country roots.

Along the way, I’ve also grown a repertoire of originals songs and instrumentals. These songs are heavily inspired by folks like The Black Keys, The Devil Makes Three, John Mayer, Darrell Scott and so much more. Check out my ‘originals’ tabs for your audible pleasure.

Since 2016, I’ve played a variety of venues and events, including: bars, restaurants, festivals, farmers markets, weddings, wineries, open mics, house parties and countless other private events. Sets range from a couple songs to 5 hours. My sets are all acoustic, so inherently laid-back in nature…but I don’t let it stop me from ripping on some Hendrix when it’s necessary.
